Back in August, I travelled to LA for a shoot on Venice beach. I was lucky enough to spend a few days ticking off my Bucket List, before the day of the shoot and I have listed my 8 favourite things I did in LA below.
1. WARNER BROS STUDIO TOUR
Anyone who knows me knows I was obsessed with “Pretty Little Liars” so when I heard I could tour around the set they filmed on, I was there! We booked tickets online before going and got a taxi there from our Hotel in about 35 minutes, so pretty easy! It’s a 3 hour visit inside a real working Hollywood Studio and it was awesome.
2. BEVERLY HILLS HOTEL
The Beverly Hills Hotel is one of the most famous hotels in the world and almost everywhere you turn there is something pink! A girls dream hotel. We went for lunch at the poolside “Cabana” restaurant and it was so much fun and the food was amazing! When I visit Los Angeles again, I would really love to stay here. ????
3. SPRINKLES CUPCAKE ATM
Who doesn’t love a cupcake? Well I hit the jackpot when I found a Cupcake ATM on the way to the Dry Bar on 9635 Santa Monica Blvd, that dispenses freshly baked cupcakes 24/7, I bought my fave Vanilla, Yum!
4. UNIVERSAL STUDIOS HOLLYWOOD
I have loved Theme Parks since before I can remember and to me Universal Studios Hollywood is the ultimate and I had always wanted to go there! It has the only authentic, working movie studio and theme park in the world. I’ve visited Universal in Florida, so I knew I loved the rides, it was such a fun day!
5. RODEO DRIVE, BABY!
My Mum and I were staying at the Beverly Wilshire Hotel- yes that’s right the one featured in the legendary film “Pretty Women” and it didn’t disappoint! What’s more you just cross the road and you step onto the World famous Rodeo Drive.
From Chanel to Prada you name it they had everything, window shopping was all I was allowed to do though sadly lol.
6. THE IVY RESTAURANT
I love “Keeping up with the Kardashians” and I have seen this restaurant featured on there a few times, so when Mum said we were going there for lunch, I was super excited! There were pretty roses everywhere, It literally was one of the prettiest restaurants I have ever been to!
7. THE NICE GUY
Located at 401 North LA Cienega BLVD West Hollywood, CA 90048, The Nice Guy is such a cool place to go.
Selena Gomez visited two nights before I did! It has a fun, private, celebrity vibe and the most unreal pizzas you will ever taste! This place is a must..
8. MELROSE AVENUE
Some say the best shops in LA are on Melrose, but sadly we didn’t have time to shop there, but we walked along Melrose Ave on our way to “The Grove”. I loved all of the famous wall art that you come across whilst walking, from the famous Paul Smith “pink” wall to Colette Millers, Angels Wings.
Hope you enjoyed my fave hot spots in LA,
Hugs HC xxxx
